Although Proposte is largely for the European textile industry, I have to say without Asian countries like India and China, they would have a lot of production issues. Many European mills today have outpriced themselves. I must say, the kind of footfall we had validated this. All the big buyers visited us 3 days before the trade fair kicked off. They made it a point to see new developements, techniques and fabrics.

IS IT TEA TIME, MR. CLOONEY?

Como is a city near Milan in the region of Lombardy. It is apt that Proposte takes place there each year. It is so picturesque.Its proximity to Lake Como and the Alps has made Como a popular tourist destination and the city contains numerous works of art, churches, gardens, museums, theatres, parks and palaces. It is of course famous today as the town where the lovely George Clooney lives. I must say we took the ferry passing his villa. He was not home......
