ASIAN PAINTS EXHIBIT 2016
A very interesting freelance project. ... done in collaboration with other crochet artists. I
completely loved this project because it took my hobby into the professional sphere.
I loved how Asian Paints introduced the color Madder Red in such a beautiful, organic and creative way. Absolutely thrilled with the outcome and glad I could be a part of it.
Below you will see the large crochet doillies in the making. The yarn used was beautiful "mul" fabric cut into long strips. Mul is cotton muslin and as we can see above it absorbed the dye gorgeously.

With ROMO..... 6 colorways
zigzag embroidered tonal homefurnishing fabrics. The fabric is made into a cushion- the top most on the pile. Interesting method of using a very simple stitch for maximum beauty.

ODE TO MARIO
Mario de Miranda, was an Indian cartoonist and painter based in Goa.One of the best illustrators, he travelled to different countries and captured the local cultures through his black and white illustrations. He had an interesting style which inspired this applique and embroidery piece. Farewell Mario Miranda...and thank you.
