ODE TO MARIO

Mario de Miranda, was an Indian cartoonist and painter based in Goa.One of the best illustrators, he travelled to different countries and captured the local cultures through his black and white illustrations. He had an interesting style which inspired this applique and embroidery piece. Farewell Mario Miranda...and thank you.

MY OWN ♥

No embroiderer will just copy from a book. These are my little girls created by me.

My younger daugther insisted there should be an apple tree.. so here it is.

GARDEN IN A STITCH

Some more parts of the cross stitch project: Strawberry basket

Radishes and Rabbits

A scarecrow doing his job.

Fresh vegetables.... anyone?

BIRD HOUSES

This is part of a huge cross stitch project. It began two years ago and it has a long way to go.

These bird houses are adorable and had to be a part of this piece.

It doesnt snow here in Bangalore but it can on the fabric. ☼
